Life in the Home Today The day starts early between 5 and 6 am when the Sisters arise and start their morning prayers before beginning their work for the day. The Sisters and staff work side by side in all aspects of the day’s activities to ensure that the needs of the Residents are met in a comfortable home-like setting. The Residents are assisted with bathing, personal care, and dressing, to prepare them for breakfast in the dining room. After breakfast and medications, the Residents participate in a variety of activities such as: group exercise, physical and occupational therapy, crafts, visits to the hairdresser, doctors appointments, culminating in the daily Rosary and Mass. The Residents, sometimes joined by family, are then served their midday meals. They then spend the afternoon socializing, playing cards, playing bingo, going on outings, or resting in their private rooms. The late afternoon Rosary is followed by supper. The Residents then enjoy evening activities such as movies and family visits, before an evening snack and bed. The Sisters end their day with evening prayers.
